Privacy policy
Short version: we don't run ads or analytics trackers, we don't set cookies, we don't sell anything about you, and we don't ask you to make an account.
What we collect
- Nothing you have to give us. You can use every page, the browse tool and the printables without entering any personal information.
- The situation helper. When you type a situation (for example "dinner out with a 2- and 5-year-old"), the text is sent to our server so an AI model can work out the ages, setting and time. It runs on Cloudflare Workers AI. We don't save what you type, and we don't attach it to you. Please don't type names, addresses or anything private. The helper doesn't need them.
- Your browser's own storage. To keep your place, the site saves your browse filters, scroll position and last helper request in your browser's session storage. It stays on your device and clears when you close the tab. It isn't a cookie and we can't read it.
- Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- If you email us, we get your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply, and we delete it when we no longer need it.
What we don't do
- No advertising or analytics cookies, pixels or trackers.
- No selling or sharing of personal information. We have none to sell.
- No accounts and no newsletter sign-ups yet. If we start a newsletter, we'll ask before adding anyone, explain the provider here, and every email will have a one-click unsubscribe.
Links to other sites
We link to makers, shops and sources. When you click through, their privacy policies apply. Some shop links may become affiliate links in the future. An affiliate link tells the shop that you came from us so we may earn a commission. See our disclosure. If we ever add analytics or advertising, we'll update this page first and give the date.
Children
This site is written for parents and caregivers, not for children to use on their own. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you (normally nothing), or ask us to delete an email you sent, at [email protected].
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
